What the Logistics Manager Does

The role connects stored inventory to destination businesses through delivery routes and target stock levels. It does not create products and cannot deliver stock that is missing or has nowhere to be placed.

  • Manages route destinations
  • Uses assigned logistics vehicles and drivers
  • Moves warehouse stock toward target levels
  • Supports multi-location scaling

Requirements

The complete chain must exist before automation can work.

  • Warehouse
  • Compatible storage with stock
  • Logistics vehicle
  • Assigned driver
  • Logistics Manager workstation and assignment
  • Destination business with storage or display capacity

Configure a Route

Select the warehouse operation, assign the manager and vehicle chain, add a destination and set a target for each product. Then allow the delivery cycle to run before judging the result.

  • Confirm source quantity
  • Choose destination
  • Set product target
  • Check current destination stock
  • Check free capacity
  • Wait for the scheduled cycle

Understand the Target

Historical official tips state that the target includes units already in destination storage and display cases. A target of 1,000 with 800 already present would call for up to 200, subject to source stock and capacity.

  • This is historical official guidance
  • Verify in version 1.0
  • Target is not automatically the load size
  • Shelf capacity can limit the delivered amount

When to Hire

Hire after manual restocking becomes a recurring bottleneck across multiple destinations. Hiring before the warehouse and route workload exists adds salary and office overhead without solving a real problem.

  • Several stores share products
  • Imports arrive centrally
  • Factory output needs distribution
  • Manual deliveries consume expansion time

Troubleshooting

If nothing arrives, inspect source stock, storage compatibility, assignments, route target, destination stock and destination capacity in that order.
